It’s easy to use because it has less features and is less powerful. I can make a paint program that only draws red circles and then claim it is easier to use than any other paint program. Finale doesn’t allow 3D models, 3D perspectives, 3D camera animation, a whole bunch of pro features are missing and the effects are far less realistic than ShowSim 3D.

Very VERY nice. 10 mins well spent. from the general pub’s insight how does this help proffesionals in the real world? i’ve no idea how itworks and would like to know. is there an electronic system that this timing could be put in to?

It depends on what you mean by “the average pyro.” ShowSim is a professional tool intended for use in the display industry, not the general public. The price is determined by the size of the target market, which is very small and only results in one-time sales. Display companies are able to recover the investment through increased sales that result from winning bids using the simulation videos. If the price was “not worth it,” then the market would reject it and there would be no sales.

I’m confused on their implementation. I’m guessing it’s just halo particles… and you can throw whatever model you like into the scene.
But if it’s just halo particles… thrown into a game engine, why have such an overloaded price? I understand the product research… but man… it’s just not worth it to the average pyro.
